Meet Your Instructor

Ms. Ilene

Growing up in Florida, you can't help but fall in love with all the water activities available to you.  As a child, I spent many weekends, boating, fishing, camping, and water skiing with my family.  During my high school career, I joined the swim team.  It was through these activities I learned to respect and love the water.

After spending 18 years in higher education, I decided to combine my love of the water and passion for education by becoming a certified survival swim instructor.

I received my training and certification through PediaSwim.    I am honored to provide survival swimming lessons to the residents of Lake County while providing awareness as an advocate in our community for Drowning Prevention.

What To Expect

These aren't your average swimming lessons.  Private lessons allow us to build a program around your child with a focus on making new progress everyday towards water safety.

Here is what you can expect:

  • Basic Survival Swimming program takes anywhere from 5 - 6 weeks depending on your child's progress.

  • Attendance is required 4 days a week, Monday - Thursday and are 10-15 minutes long.  Consistency is vital to your child progression through the program. Allowing your child to build trust and confidence in the instructor, while becoming more confident in the water.

  • All lessons are one on one and in a private setting.

  • Upon completion of the initial course, you'll have comfort knowing your child will possess the essentials of water safety.
